Hey, Trump voters
Unemployed because your job was outsourced? Trump has all of his branded merchandise manufactured in low-wage countries, along with every stick of furniture, every curtain, every bed-sheet made for his hotels. Not a single thing bearing the Trump name is made by US workers like you. But you knew that, right?
Those MAGA hats and tee-shirts youre sporting so proudly? Not only were they made by a non-American, the money you paid for them goes directly into Trumps pocket. But you knew that, right?
At the time Trump ran for office, there were hundreds of lawsuits against him for failure to pay contractors whod worked for him, or even reimburse them for the materials theyd provided at their own expense. Thats hard-working Americans he cheated out of their money people just like you. But you knew that, right?
Trump often encouraged men to refer to his own daughter as a hot piece of ass. He also bragged about grabbing women by the pussy as he had that right because he was rich and famous. But you knew that, right?
While campaigning, Trump made racist remarks about blacks, Mexicans, and Muslims, and publicly mocked a disabled man. But you knew that, right?
Trump has a foundation for which he has raised funds on the premise that the money would go to charitable organizations. Instead, he used the money to pay his personal debts. But you knew that, right?
While running for the presidency, Trump disparaged all of our global allies but praised our nations sworn enemy, Putin, at every opportunity. But you knew that, right?
Trumps campaign speeches made it appallingly apparent that he didnt understand even the most basic things about how our government works, nor what the responsibilities of being POTUS entailed. But you knew that, right?
So the question is: If you KNEW all of those things, why did you vote for him? And if you DIDNT know those things, on what basis did you vote for him? Was it out of ignorance, or a lack of interest in who would be leading the nation? Or did you cast your ballot out of your own sheer stupidity?
At what point did you decide that an ignorant, bloviating, lying idiot was the perfect commander-in-chief? At what point did you delude yourself into believing that the man who outsources American jobs was the champion of the very people hed put out of work?
At what point did you realize that a well-known liar was lying to YOU lying about protecting the safety nets you rely on, lying about bringing your jobs back, lying about replacing Obamacare with something better and cheaper?
The buyers remorse many of you are now tearfully admitting to is falling on deaf ears. You are already knee-deep in Cry-Me-a-Fuckin-River, and a lot of you will be neck-deep in the days to come. Some of you will drown.
But you knew that, right? If you didnt, you should have. All the signs were there.

(28,270 posts)Now that the deplorables realize Trump and all his backers suckered them...
Surely they will turn off Fox news, turn off Hate radio, leave their prosperity/dominunist republican mega churches, never fall again for a lyin republican fanning the flames of racist hate again.
Uh huh sure. That will happen.
That's what many want to think. I call BS. These people are lost to their own internal hate forever IMO.

(32,886 posts)First off, whether they realize it or not, Putin is an enemy of the Russian people. He stifles their press, killing those members of it that disagree with him or report embarrassing stories regularly. Someone who does that is an enemy of his people. He has prominent opposition politicians shot so that the people have no choice on Election Day. Someone who dids that is an enemy of his people. He passed a law that was discriminatory toward a vulnerable minority's, the LGBT community. Someone who does that is an enemy of his people.
The fact that Putin is all of these things alone makes him an enemy of anyone at any point in the left spectrum from center left all the way to the far left. If you forgive all these things because he happens to be a thorn in the side of the US or Europe or NATO, then you aren't so much for liberal or progressive ideology as much as you are simply a negative nationalist as defined by Orwell with Europe and the US as your designated antagonists.
Again, that's all for starters. Secondly, he engaged in an unprovoked war of aggression in Ukraine. That is a war crime according to international law. Anyone who values international law should view Putin at the least as an antagonist if not an enemy.
Third, if you are an American or European, it should not have escaped your attention that Putin embarked on a massive military buildup over the past 7+ years whose specific objective is to put his military in a position to have successful battles against NATO. From the fact that the body armor he had designed for his troops was specifically designed to withstand standard NATO rounds to the fac that his guns and bullets were designed to defeat NATO body aromoir to the fact that his surface to air missile systems were designed to try to be able to track and shoot down stealth aircraft to all the other design elements of his new inventory suggest that he is an enemy of the west by design.
So if Putin isn't your enemy, you either haven't been paying attention or you are a negative nationalist. There are no other options.

(32,886 posts)He's in business not only with Russian oligarchs and mafia, and there is considerable overlap between the two, but he is in business with oligarchs all over the world.
Second, you dishonestly call what I wrote lies and then you proceed to write excuses for the behavior. All of those excuses are right out of Russian state media which are of course controlled by Putin.

(6,604 posts)Trump makes his supporters feel powerful. That's why he has the support he does: angry working-class white people who see their way of life slipping away forever. They have no power to stop it. Neither does Trump, & the real shitstorm will begin when they finally figure it out.

(12,448 posts)what Dump was and is: a bigot, a racist, misogynist, xenophobe, homophobe. That's why they love him. Their current problem is that they didn't think his toxic, so-called "policies" of hate, exclusion, and economic cruelty applied to THEM. White males who voted for this monster really believed that he didn't mean THEM when he talked about ridding America of immigrants, cutting social programs, and destroying life-saving access to health care.
Dump made his bigotry crystal clear during his campaign. They didn't think he meant them, only those icky brown, black, gay, Muslim people. Oh, and women. It's embarrassingly unbelievable that 53% of white women voted for him. They thought he didn't mean to grab THEIR pussies.
Thank you, Nance. Great OP, as usual.

(12,536 posts)exploited the great dumbing down and appeal to the worst fears and lowest instincts. The ignorant are easily manipulated into acting against their own best interests. It's kind of like suicide with the promise of virgins and angels as a reward.
Pox News and hate radio have convinced the ignorant and fearful that only Trump can save them.
Normal people do no support Republicans for good cause. The Republicans have vilified clean air and clean water so as to benefit today's slave labor exploiters. They have made the concept of universal health care an enemy of the American people. The thought of clean, cheap, reliable electricity is equal to small pox.
A man who pulled himself up from nothing to become president really pisses them off, and that he's been faithful to his wife really gets their knickers in a bunch. That they prefer a semi literate boor to a well educated law professor speaks volumes.
Personally, I'm too old to suffer fools and deal with hateful ignorant creeps. For the most part, there are no members of that bigoted toxic death cult in my life. It's liberating to know I don't have to pretend that I understand their positions.

Here's something for Trumpanzees to fathom:
"Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage
And then is heard no more: it is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing. "
