I've had it with racists from now on I'm going to have a new style of dress
I'm going to wear a scarf on my head , a big old star of David necklace, a large rainbow arm band , and I'm going to speak Spanish in public as much as I can. I stand in solidarity ! I don't really give a fig who doesn't like it. I live in redneck Texas. Hell I might confuse them just a little more and play some Patsy Cline with my window down. Racists and bigots may think they own this country but they do not.

And he came through town so I got it autographed. It was a gift for my conservative brother-in-law who is also a hunter. I assumed he knew about Ted Nugent, but as it turned out, he didn't so when I asked him how he liked the book, he sighed and said in an apologetic tone (as if to spare my feelings), "I thought it was some weird drug humor that I just wasn't getting until I saw him on TV, and it just turns out he's stupid as hell. Recipes look good though."
Anyway, I went with my then girlfriend who is from Colombia, and we spoke a lot in Spanish... and got a lot of dirty looks. If we had been anywhere else, I'm sure we would have at least have been yelled at, but as we were in a place with books other than Ted's, Limbaugh's, and the Bible, the rest of the people in line were confused and nervous and cowed into behaving as their brains tried to process the situation they were in.
