effectively incriminates them?

The dossier consistently cites a misspelling-using Alpha rather than Alfa

And since there is an actual Alpha Bank ...
one of the largest in Greece...

Seems the better strategy would be to say
hey that's not us.. no ph in our Alfa...
we have no connections, as we are not the bank cited....

However, since one of Fridman's other entities (Veon/ Vimpelcom) is also tied to Mercer through Renaissance/Medallion funds ....
He may be feeling pressure to create a distraction...

Who knows...
But seems like a losing battle in more ways than one....
