Because that's exactly how I see Trump every single day. Everything is a temper tantrum for him. He pouts when he doesn't get his own way and always wants to be the victim. He needs constant reassurance and attention.

I think it's both. I also think he is mentally ill. His distorted sense of reality and delusions of grandeur show cause for concern.

He could have drawn Drumpf as a lower primate hurling feces at the NATO and G7 attendees.

There will be plenty of opportunity to "go savage."

Now, when the giant human-eating mutons land on earth and demand to be taken to our leader so he may be eaten, the whole world can point at Rump and say "He's our leader! Tastes like chicken, too!"

In this way. Comrade Fatass will save all humankind. A win-win for all concerned (except for Comrade Fatass, I suppose).

What a great cartoon!

Wow.

Now that the laughter is over, how ashamed I feel...

And angry.

We've got to get our shit together as a party. Yes, our party has two wings and the in-between - ideologically, we represent a bell curve. And yes, I'm on the left side of that middle two-thirds of the bell curve. That said, I've been noticing some sniping between wings on this very site.

But.............

The Republicans now control:
33 state legislatures,
32 governorships,
Both houses of the US Congress,
The Executive Branch of the US government (I can't bring myself to write in 'president' here)
...and God knows how many school boards, city councils, boards of county commissioners and other entities.

May I suggest for the heavy hitters I know scan this site: DO SOME FOCUS GROUPS WITH INDEPENDENT VOTERS. Seriously, and don't 'tilt' the questions to be biased like you do on the surveys you send to me and other members of the DNC. Here are some suggestions:

1. Are you willing to pay higher taxes to have Medicare for all Americans?
2. Do you want the government to ensure that Social Security remains healthy?
3. Are you willing to pay more taxes to fix the roads, highways and upgrade the infrastructure?
4. Are you willing to pay more taxes to invest in the university, college or trade school education of your children and grandchildren?
5. Do you think that billionaires and corporations should pay their fair share of taxes?
6. Do you think we could cut some waste out of the military and national security budgets?
7. Do you think we should institute trade policies that bring good jobs good benefits, safe working conditions, reasonable hours, reasonable economic security and good wages back?

Because if we POUND on these kitchen table issues, we will win big because this is what people want. But we have to learn to talk about it without fear, and to have the guts to educate the public about the 'public good,' which is economist-speak for those things that a) the private sector cannot do, b) the private sector will not do, and c) should not be entrusted to the private sector, ever (prisons come to mind).
