We must remember that the entire GOP presidential field would be pursing the same destructive agenda as Trump. They might no be as crazy but they would have been just as evil and destructive in the longer term. What we are experiencing is what has been a wider GOP agenda to destroy sensible governance.

Let's not fall into the same trap as 2016 where all the focus was on Trump and his personality - instead of the Repug Party.

The American People have to be convinced that it is the Repug Party that is out to destroy this country and government.

The Dems need to win back Congress (House and Senate) then they can control Trump as I don't think he'll be gone by 2018.

If Trump is run out of office, whoever gets in there will just be a placeholder until the next presidential election.

All their credibility and legitimacy will be gone.

People tend to predict the behavior of others based on factors that may or may not be well founded...and often only represent a partial dataset.

I think KGOP & Putin expected a greater degree of self-control / professional con-man from *45....

But they did not have any data/info that reflected how he would handle resistance or respond to scrutiny.... nor did they understand that his pompous ass persona was actually borderline personality disorder/ megalomaniac narcissism.

Still serves as a feature not a bug... but a less desirable feature nonetheless.

I think the rest of the GOP would prefer a strong NATO (more military spending!!) and not get too friendly with the Russians.
