Pussy hat problem.

OK, I found a lady in my small red town that makes pussy hats and she made me one. She makes them for free but I gave her $20 for it to help with buying material for making them. Now, this is a Crocheted/knitted ( I do not know the difference ) but it is warm which is nice in cold weather. Summer is coming in and it is getting warmer. I have thick hair that keeps me warm on its own. If I wear that hat in warm weather I would give myself heat stroke. I have looked on line to find a pussy hat that is very light weight and has ventilation. I do not like baseball caps so those are out. Having that bill sticking out above my eyes bothers me. I was wondering about trying to find a vented skull cap with ventilation and is very light weight with pussy ears. I have just spent probably more than an hour online looking and no luck. I do not know how to sew and do not want to learn. So, does anybody have any suggestions?

2. Not without having you teach yourself how to crochet

Most hats are knitted but there are crochet patterns over on Ravelry and some of them are fairly light and ventilated.

Other than that, just realize you're not going to be able to sport one until cold weather.

And I've sold quite a few of them at protests and online (many here to DU).

As my screen name suggests, I was a cat lady before pussyhats. A few years ago I started following the trend that Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift started and wear cat ear headbands. I have one that has pink flowers on the ears. Stores like Claire's and Forever 21 sell the headbands (about $5-$10 each).

7. I think that is the best solution for hot climates.

Even the crocheted cap referenced above will cause the wearer's hair to flatten against the head more, preventing air circulating. No problem with the headband.

13. I Bought A Mothers Day Baseball Cap...

It has a pink bill & team logo. I'm going to make ears that pin on for protesting.
