Stinky The Clown

First, she's a woman. Second, she's a liberal. Third, she clearly hates Donny Two Scoops.

So yeah, let's excoriate Kathy Griffin. Let's fire her. Let's call her all sorts of names. Why not drag her through the streets? Get the FBI on her ass. The Secret Service, too.

Left and right are piling on. The media is united. How about a red A (activist) tattooed on her forehead?

Why am I unable to ignore all the horrible imagery - much of it metaphorical assassination - level at not only Barack Obama, but also at Michelle and the girls? Why am I unable to ignore similar imagery about Hillary Clinton?

Here's a list of those who were fired for THOSE images:

Mother fucking hypocrites.

He not only never apologized, nor did he ever face any repercussions or career-ending consequences. Nope, he gets invited to dinner at the White House.

But there's no double standard, 'eh? A friend and I have been arguing all day about this. Tiresome. She's convinced Kathy Griffin has destroyed her career and should never work again. I told her I look forward to Griffin's comeback.

I reminded her about fucking Ted Nugent who's never had to face any consequences for his threats against Hillary or his exhortations of violence against HRC and other Dems. She insisted it's not the same thing, of course.

But it's a very violent imagery, so would be abhorrent to most people, no matter who the subject.

I think comedians are used to pushing the envelope, so it's easier for them to cross a line.

Her career will survive. She'll be fine. She'll still have friends in the biz, make tons of money.

The mayor of the town of Clay resigned and the director of a local government-funded agency was also removed from her job following the racist comment.

http://www.mediaite.com/online/police-officer-fired-over-facebook-post-saying-michelle-obama-is-fluent-in-ghetto/

A police officer in Alabama was terminated on Wednesday over memes he shared to his Facebook page that were determined to be racist.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/doctor-michelle-obama-monkey-face_us_584069a7e4b017f37fe35241

A Colorado doctor has been ordered to stop seeing patients and is being fired from her medical school teaching job after calling first lady Michelle Obama “monkey face” on Facebook and defending herself as “still not racist.”

https://www.dallasnews.com/news/education/2016/10/05/teachers-aide-called-michelle-obama-poor-gorilla-fired-texas-womanspost-goes-viral

Dean-Burren, a doctoral candidate at the University of Houston, called out the woman on Facebook: "Is that who you want teaching your kids?" Her post went viral, and this week, it got the Georgia woman fired.

None of these people posted a severed head picture. They were fired. Please actually bother to do some research before you make declarative statements that are easily confirmed to be inaccurate.

teachers and police officers will have a harder time finding new jobs and paying bills in between.

Media personalities work in a gig economy and can just as easily get new gigs with outlets that empathize with their political views.

It was a stupid miscalculation in extremely bad taste which she's paying for, but I'm already over it. I'm not over Trump's racist "birther" shit which he'll never apologize for and which caused so much more damage, so suck it up you orange, shit-stirstick. I'm not over the GOP's decades-ongoing war against muslims, people of color, gays, women, immigrants, the disabled and poor. That's what we need to focus on. I'm not over racists. They can go straight to hell.

the jugular. She has no hesitation in calling out the rich and the famous, and while a decapitated Donny might be a bit over the top for her, it's not that much over the top.

Someone on my FB page, someone who is herself very progressive/liberal said that Griffin needs to take a sabbatical from performing. Nope, I posted back. What Griffin did was completely in keeping with her persona.

Even suggesting that she take a sabbatical comes dangerously close to censorship.

about what Kathy Griffin did. She apologized and I'm glad that she did. The last thing I would ever want to be like, are those that condoned or even praised what was done to Obama's effigy. Two wrongs don't make a right, in my opinion.
