We're being conditioned to accept the outrageous and the illegal as normal

From his campaign through his transition and into his presidency, Trump has committed criminal acts and violated convention, and nothing whatsoever seems to stop him. Not the Republican establishment. Not the Democratic opposition. Not the FBI. Not the intelligence agencies. Not the congress. Not the media. Nothing. If Regan was the Teflon president, Trump is the Terminator president.

We howl at the outrage. We get excited because we think that finally the scales will be balance, but alas nothing. Trump and his campaign cronies collude with the Russians during the election? Nothing happens. Trump doesn't release his tax returns? Nothing happens. Trump does not put his business interests into a blind trust? Nothing happens. Trump puts his family to work in the WH? Nothing happens. Trump claims that President Obama spied on him? Nothing happens. Trump fires the FBI director investigating him. Nothing happens.

We are well on our way to an autocracy. We should be thankful that Trump is as incompetent as he is because if he were intelligent, we would already be an autocracy.

The truly, truly scary thing about Trump is that some where out there is a wealthy, intelligent, and cunning billionaire who is taking note of all of this and will try to duplicate what Trump is doing only doing it on a much larger scale.

Why the hell are they only 25-30% of the resistance?
What will it take to break through to their apathy? Serious question?

with their "we have to cover the good news too" bullshit. We are at Trump's mercy right now. He can go full dictator if he chooses, and we'll still have clowns on CNN arguing that it's a good idea. Whatever he decides to do he can do.
