Merkle said Europe can no longer count on the USA. Then the leader of India met with her and her spokesperson called him a reliable partner. Yesterday and today the leader of China is visiting her. China plans to be a renewable energy super power while Trumps pulls out of the Paris Accords. Nixon pulled China away from its alliance with Russia and into a partnership with us, causing Russia to fail. Now China is going to pull Europe away from the USA, one belt one road with massive spending on infrastructure linking China and Europe. Trump is leaving the door wide open for China to drive in.

2. The USA had a good run of it for a long time, now with Trump it's all over. The world

is going to take advantage of the stupid nitwit in the WH. He's uncouth and doesn't have the vaguest idea WTF he's doing. He needs to be removed from office, but Putin has the GOP and Trump in his pocket. This country has been taken over by a coup. Hopefully the FBI will get to the bottom of it along with congress, at least those in congress that have not been bought or blackmailed for whatever reason.

4. what sickens me

is how short of a time it took.

I know we aren't the light on the hill and all that shit that others have claimed to be, but gauddmammmint, we were at the top of the pile at one time in education, innovation and just down right equality. We lost it in 16 fucking weeks.

5. And what is really bad, this is only the beginning. He needs to be removed from office. He is

literally taking this country to the bottom along with Bannon into chaos. I'm convinced that is their plan. There is a lot of sh** going on and far too many Americans are so damn naive and gullible.

6. this shitshow has been at least 40 years in the making

Despite whatever progressive gains we made during periods when there was at least some Democratic control of the state apparatus, it's been a long, downward slide for quite some time. The elimination of the Fairness Doctrine was one of the early "wins" for the right wing that helped get us to where we are now. Decades of right-wing radio and the erosion of the public education system, Republican obstinacy whenever Democrats tried to advance progressive legislation...the GOP has spent decades working to dumb down the voting public, suppress minority votes, and basically set the stage for the coup. It only seems like it was so sudden because of the shock of the election (which they basically stole, so....), and the relentless pain since.
