Trump's "I'll keep you in suspense" Apprentice-ization of the Comey testimony

You know he's sitting in his bathrobe, wolfing down his chocolate cream pie with two scoops and washing it down with Diet Cokes, stewing and fidgeting and letting his fevered, addled brain run down every scenario of how he'd do it, building suspense, savoring the chaos, convinced that as long as he has his faithful little lapdog Devin Nunes running interference for him, he'll expose the TRUE culprit in this Russia mess, Obama.

The red hats are still only hearing what Fox News wants them to hear, because that's their only source of news. For variety, they may check out Breitbart, but it's basically Trump's Twitter feed and Steve Doocy.

He'll do one of two things...he'll go through the process (which won't be resolved prior to Comey's appearance date, which WOULD shut him down, at least temporarily. He won't care about any perception of his obstructing justice, because the Republicans will run cover for him, and his "base" is simply too uneducated to see what he's doing or believe he's involved in anything other than making America great again. We're getting a slow trickle of the "Morans" crowd that's realizing food stamps and healthcare might no longer be a part of their lives. The rest still consider Russia to be "fake news," and see nothing other than "the President defending himself against false accusations."

Or he'll "allow" Comey to testify, and immediately following that, will turn Bannon loose with the floodgate of smears he's been assembling.

Meanwhile, he's pressing the red button for another Diet Coke.
