That Putin himself is trying to get out in front of Comey's testimony is extraordinary.

"When I came to the event for our company, Russia Today, and sat down at the table, next to me there was a gentleman sitting on one side," Putin continued. "I made my speech. Then we talked about some other stuff. And I got up and left. And then afterwards I was told, 'You know there was an American gentleman. He was involved in some things. He used to be in the security services' ... that's it. I didn't even really talk to him... That's the extent of my acquaintance with Mr. Flynn."

Russian dining etiquette is Putin's seat is the "head" of the table and the most important guest is seated to the right.

Flynn was immediately to Putin's right for a reason.

After learning this bit of important etiquette it only seals what we already knew.

Flynn was there for a reason.

Flynn was there because Putin wanted him to be there.

an American visitor? And he never asked (and Flynn never volunteered) what he did?! Putin wasn't curious as to the American military man seated NEXT TO HIM AT HIS TABLE?!! And Putin elected to speak in English with a translator b/c his sixth sense told him this gentlemen spoke English? It makes absolutely no sense. For all of the "Putin is former KGB" talk it is evident that he is a terrible liar.

Declining to speak English makes it possible that people will belive he can't, or that he didn't say what the translators claim. No one can be sure about the credibility of what they're watching

This is part of the Spicer off camera thing. The BBC used to do something odd and similar to Irish free state activists (not terrorists, politicians) they'd film interviews, strip out audio and add subtitles. It messes with the your trust level regarding the whole thing.
