Former FBI Director James Comey is scheduled to testify this week before the Senate Intelligence Committee in a blockbuster open hearing that is sure to be a media circus.
The hearing is expected to center on the circumstances of Comeys dismissal. The White House has given shifting explanations for his firing, while media reports and President Trumps own statements have fueled suspicions that the decision was politically motivated.
Here are five questions lawmakers are likely to pose during Comeys testimony.
Did Trump pressure you to drop the investigation into Michael Flynn?

Did Trump demand your loyalty as FBI director?
-snip-
Do you believe that the presidents actions were obstruction of justice?
-snip-
Are you aware of other attempts by the president to push back on the Russia investigation?
-snip-
Have you seen any evidence of collusion between Trump campaign associates and Russia?

(31,963 posts)Comey has previously testified under oath that Trump has not obstructed the investigation. He will be asked to explain that statement.

(53,986 posts)The universal mind-wipe of Comey's previous decisions to politicize FBI investigations is inexcuseable. He shouldn't get a walk on his role in sabotaging the election (perhaps more pivotably than the Russians did) just because he woke up with buyer's remorse at some point in late January.
