Another "Good Guy" With A Gun.
Until he's not. But that isn't the NRA's problem.
John Robert Neumann Jr., a 45-year-old Army veteran, has been identified as the disgruntled ex-employee who barged into his old office Monday morning and shot dead five of his former co-workers before killing himself.

(3,194 posts)It seems that sometimes these companies risk their lives when they fire someone. I guess if you have an employee who sucks at their job, if they own a gun, you should pause before you let them go.

(63,221 posts)incident? The shooter was a white, apparently non-Muslim man, so I doubt very much we are going to be hearing much of anything from old two-scoops. If it doesn't help to forward his agenda, he doesn't care about it.

(3,194 posts)So a gun saved 2 lives, but another gun took 5 lives.
You do realize that while guns do occasionally prevent crime or save lives, that number is dwarfed by the # of innocent lives that they take. But I guess you have to crush a few lemons if you want to make lemonade. Or in this case, some completely innocent people must die, so others have the right to own their precious.
Added On Edit: Another way of looking at your pro-gun argument, is that if a gun had been used, instead of him trying to drown the kids, it would not have failed, now would it? Perhaps he should have used a gun, huh? He might still be alive, and the kids dead.
See....another example that there is not a problem a loaded firearm can't resolve.

(195 posts)Any discussion about the good and bad sides of guns, I like guns I have several, I just posted that as a slight reminder that not all guns are bad, they are tools, they have a specific purpose for sure but it still comes down to the person who has the gun not the gun itself.... get them out of the hands of people with mental problems and get help for those same people...But stop them from getting guns in the first place... It can be done with some real help from the people who are charged with that responsibility...They are definitely too easy to come by...
