So why did the witnesses refuse to

answer questions at today's Senate hearing?

Are they loyal to Trump?

Do they fear something?

Is there some plan in place that they are a part of?

Surely the do not believe in Trump's attitude that there is no world community only a bunch of competing countries.

Surely they do not want Russia to destroy our democracy.

while at the same time trying not to say anything that would jeopardize their jobs. My tinfoil-hat notion, which might be a bit too much, is that maybe they have been threatened with something worse than being fired. After all, there are a lot of dead Russians who may have displeased Dolt 45's BFF and role model Putin. And this administration has the moral and ethical compass of the Sopranos. So who knows? It's probably not that bad. At least I hope not.

The more likely answer is TRUMP IS FUCKING STUPID-

He doesn't understand the law, doesn't understand what interference of an investigation is, doesn't understand fucking anything. They are A: covering for him if he did fuck up somehow, and B: like you noted saving their job.

He is a big fat ass-ed douchebag. People on this board are giving him a lot more credit than he deserves. Like he has a clue what is going on around him LOL. Ivanka is there to hold his hand so he doesn't have a tamper tantrum, Jared is "trusted" but is clueless with government as well.

They are all way in over their heads. You probably have people like Coats actually feeling sorry for him and covering. The saying just because you didn't know that was against the law doesn't protect you from not being charged is at play here.

I do believe he would fire (but maybe not whack) any of those guys if they publicly said something that displeased him, because he is a big fat dumbass who hasn't figured out yet that being president isn't the same as being a CEO of a country that is basically the same as your own business whose "employees" you can fire any old time. Any of those guys could get very good new jobs easily, but maybe they feel like they're trying to protect not only their existing job but what's left of their department.

after the revues of this AM by many,it sure as heck looks like Stonewalling until the GOP gets their Destroy America Legislation Passed.

These people today are just chair warmers until their Corporate Masters tell them otherwise.

cut ties to Qatar and now the Turks are sending troops there. This is exactly what the Russians want. There is a reason the Russians never really bombed Isis but bombed the Syrian resistance and innocent civilians. They do not want to destroy Isis. They have the same intentions as Isis period to destroy the United States. I have a better question.

Why did ISIS attack Tehran?

Another question that was not asked at the hearings today that should have been asked. "Did Trump ask you for your loyalty?"

A lying sack if shit is just that and bags of it were on display for all to see during today's hearing.

Remember the newspaper article that McCain read into the record?

If Rogers and Coasts had testified to those details, Trump may well have fired them.
So they leaked the info to the paper, McCain read it into the record, the Committee heard it, the public heard it.
Now Coats and Rogers can continue with their jobs, and continue to give Mueller any important info.
Trump will hear their silence as loyalty to him, which is a super important thing for him. (but he has no loyalty for anyone, himself)

the only exception maybe Comey...and even then I highly doubt he will and will defer to "ongoing" investigations prevents him from commenting...

all this will have to fall to a Special Prosecutor with unfettered subpoena access
