I read the printed opening testimony, and it didn't seem all that terrible, but I also got the feeling that Comey was trying to show that he was being completely honest.

Comey said that:

1. Trump's a liar.
2. He "directed" him to stop the investigation (not "ordered" but I don't think that's relevant for purposes of obstruction)
3. The "lack of investigation of Trump" only referred to the counterintelligence investigation of Flynn and didn't necessarily preclude further FBI investigation of Trump
4. Trump's vague tweet about "taping" his conversations with Comey lead him to raise the issue of his memos in the hopes it would get an special counsel appointed.

No matter what comes out, we are not getting any closer to Trump being out of the WH until the Repugs stop protecting him. They are vile sub humans IMHO, they care only about their "boys club," lining their pockets, and getting re-elected. The later is the only thing that will motivate them to bury the orange man baby.
