...and there will be nothing but a partisan divide, in my opinion.
It is up to the American people to decide how far they want this investigation to go.
There is not going to be enough Republican support to change the status of this investigation, in my opinion.
It is going to be a long struggle to save this democracy and the Republican Party is not a participant in this effort.
We are witnessing profiles in cowardice.

(111,079 posts)... to find an Atty-General that will fire Mueller?
He will have little concern about the political consequences, just as when he fired the FBI director.
If he fires Sessions, and hired someone like Christie to replace him, that would seem to be the direction we are headed?

We can capitalize on the clear obstruction of justice as we fight for seats in the upcoming election and make the election a referendum on Trump's corrupt presidency.

(8,755 posts)Everybody in DC knows it. For the Dems, this is all to keep up the public pressure on Trump and blunt his agenda and hang the GOP with every thing Trump does.
After this its time for the Dems to get loud and shame the GOP every day until election day. They need to stop being nice and call out this cowardice.
I know they want to have good working relationships with the GOP, but I think the Dems are insane for thinking that. The Republicans, since Newt in '94, have not negotiated in good faith the the Dems or America. They have no interest or desire to have any kind of relationship with the opposition party. They are autocrats.
