He doesn'[t seem to understand that if evidence shows up that indicates that CLINTON or anyone attached to her colluded with the Russians that she would come under investigation; server be damned!

This is directed to give sound bites to Fox tonight .... especially the "double standard there" ... watch, it will be on tonight in a loop.

If he hadn't fucked it up so badly. Now it is likely to be on the loop because of how confused it makes him look.

There he asked why he could publicly say that Clinton was not going to indicted, but - after privately telling Trump - he was not being investigated - why he would not be willing to say that publicly. Now, Comey easily batted that away - The FBI had exhaustively investigated Clinton, and though they were not happy with what she did - the conclusion was that she had not broken any laws. As to Trump, they had just started investigating the Russian interference. He then mentioned that there was a huge downside which was that if the investigation moved that way, he would have to announce that he WAS under investigation.

However, then McCain lost any semblance of coherence, implying that the June statement absolved Clinton of contact with Russia (! I guess to destroy her campaign), while refusing to do so for Trump. This was crazy and I was impressed that Comey found ways to sanely answer completely insane questions.

It was hard to watch - if this is how he usually is, he should not be Senator.

McCain made absolutely no sense.

Clinton's email server issue has NOTHING to do with Trump investigation.

Even Comey was confused by McCain's gibberish. That was a strange exchange!

the Russian interference with the campaign process. I kept tilting toward this being an act he was putting on to confuse the issue while still getting Clinton's name/case in front of the hearing so it would pull some attention from the Trump collusion with the Russians...get the deplorables riled up.

It's too bad Comey didn't have a clear chance to straighten him out. He was being too polite and McCain was being a jerk.

& Co are under investigation for collusion, and just got tangled up in the subtle threads he had to weave to do it.... like he was looking for Comey to say we knew Clinton wasn't colluding with the Russians, that's why there was no investigation, but we had indications that was not the case with Rump's team.

He needs to seek medical help--stat! I'm guessing he will soon retire because of medical reasons. A shame because although we are politically polar opposites, I always admired him, and I salute him as he fades away.

but that last quick camera shot of him when the chairman told him his time was up... looked like he didn't even know where he was. He should have retired with some semblance of dignity before his last election.
