reports what amounts to a pathologic inability to focus attention on anything that's not specifically about him and that when briefed he simply doesn't remember.

Even in the middle of the briefing, like touring a Navy ship inspecting the changeover from steam to electromagnetic catapults -- that briefing was so misunderstood that he told them on the spot that he was scrapping the multi-billion-dollar new technology because obsolete steam was better.

Another fun side to this is that, reportedly, his handlers have learned that advising him what NOT to say is problematic because that can result in it being the first thing out of his mouth when that topic comes up.

Poor dears.

PRESIDENT RUMP'S OWN CONFUSED VERSION: "I said, “You don’t use steam anymore for catapult?” “No sir.” I said, “Ah, how is it working?” “Sir, not good. Not good. Doesn’t have the power. You know the steam is just brutal. You see that sucker going and steam’s going all over the place, there’s planes thrown in the air.”

It sounded bad to me. Digital. They have digital. What is digital? And it’s very complicated, you have to be Albert Einstein to figure it out. And I said—and now they want to buy more aircraft carriers. I said, “What system are you going to be—” “Sir, we’re staying with digital.” I said, “No you’re not. You going to goddamned steam, the digital costs hundreds of millions of dollars more money and it’s no good.”

She said she was shocked about something Trump said or did (which I unfortunately do not remember). It had something to do with basic knowledge anyone should have let alone the President.

I told her, "Really? Shocked is not a word that I use with Trump at this point. Disgusted, Stupid, Upset, etc... those are words I use, but shocked implies that there is an expectation about limits of behavior and Trump has no limits. He is not just ignorant, he is proudly ignorant. He is not just mean, he prides himself on being mean."

I am not stunned or surprised about information that Trump might not have known we have a large base in Qatar. I would actually be surprised if he knew that. I am more surprised when things that are normative happen with this administration and Trump. He has no limits to his stupidity and vileness.

He's not perfect, but neither am I. I don't always agree or like what he says, but who wants that all the time. Not me.

chemical, electrical, mechanical, petroleum engineering, and a research program.

The university has a code of conduct that considers cultural mores and the fact that most of Qatar follow Salafism, not that trump would realize there were different sects among these nations which drive their disagreements.
