1. I don't see where it's necessary to be

cruel and snarky toward John McCain. Yeah, he was confused and he's old and probably passed it. We may all get there some day too.

But it might be helpful to find out just what constitutes "normal contact with foreign powers". That would mean looking at the Clinton campaign contacts, as well as Obama and Bush. And it would expand to other countries beyond just Russia.

By establishing a norm, we might find that Trump's contact with the Russians goes well beyond the norm which would lead us to the inescapable conclusion that the Trump campaign did indeed collude with the Russians.
