4. My take - nothing concrete. The spinning re: a couple major points has already begun.

And there is lots of wiggle-room.

1) trump lies. (specifically about the state of the FBI when Comey was let go, and numerous other comments - who called whom, etc)
2) Comey FELT he was being asked to drop the Flynn thing
3) he felt the need to document all interactions with trump
4) no investigation of trump at time he was fired
5) felt it necessary to release memos he made to get them out to the press after being fired

To me, it seemed a bit more positive than I was expecting. He called trump a liar. He took notes of the conversations between the two of them because he could not trust trump.

That was the main gist of it.

Down the line.... you can't trust trump. It would be the basis of everything.

Republicans tried to help trump with the Noob defence, but scored a few misses.

1. Trump is a liar
2. No special counsel was necessary for Clinton because she did nothing criminal
3. A special counsel was needed for Russian interference, and their is no fuzziness about it, Russia interfered in the 2016 election
4. Trump told Comey in private to let the Flynn election go
5. Trump fired Comey because of the Russian investigation

He said Trump is not trustworthy.

He said some of the things Trump says are lies.

He said he didn't know if there was anyone in the administration that he could trust.

He said he leaked one of his own non-classified memos, hoping it would cause a special prosecutor to be appointed.

He gave it to a good friend and ask him to give it to the papers.

He was being followed by the press and that is why he asked a friend to leak it.

He said Mueller was a good, honest, trustworthy, non political prosecutor.

He said he would answer questions in the closed hearing that he could not answer in the open hearing.

He wants Trump to release the tapes. He mentioned it several times.

He never called Trump. Trump told Lester Holt the Comey called him.

He never invited Trump to dinner. Trump told Lester Holt that dinner was Comey's idea.

He stated he was still held in high esteem and well like by his FBI counter parts.

He stated that Trump demeaned him and all the people at the FBI.

He apologized to his co-workers because of the things Trump has said.

He stated that he was sorry and sad that he didn't get to tell his co-workers good-bye.

Sessions left him alone at least once when he asked not to be alone with Drumpf.
Comey was invited to a dinner with Drumpf where he had expected that there would be others, but it was an uncomfortable dinner for two as he was asked in roundabaout ways how loyal he was expected to be, and was forced several times to equivocate about whether or not Drumpf or any in his administration was under "that cloud" or investigation.

Drumpf said "I hope" the investigation would go away. Was understood to be a Henry II implication or what is known as "an officer's wish" or an order not given as an order.

Drumpf spilled the beans about why he fired Comey days before Comey gave a copy of his memos to the reporter, so he didn't "leak" anything.

Hillary Clinton's campaign did not have any interaction with the Russians.

A lot of questions he couldn't answer about because of legal or investigations going on in which the truth would eventually come out, or because they were not pertinent to his memos..
