Most of the liquid goes into your system and the little bit left over makes retching a little easier.

As for the right wing nut jobs, we know they all live in a shiny bubble full of fairy dust and unicorn farts. There isn't much you can do about them in the short term. When the brick wall falls on them, the bubble is generally burst.

Nothing to do in the meantime but keep the pressure on Congress and laugh at the morons who voted them in, doing a lot of index finger twiddling next to your temple.

2. I have a feeling a fair number of them did not listen to the entire hearing this a.m.

They may have heard sound bites but my suspicion is they just waited on Fox or Rush or Hugh Hewitt to tell them the good news. When all of this doesn't go away next week, they are going to get a big surprise and a kick in the ass. Just reading some of their comments it is obvious they did not listen to any of it. No quotes, no best lines, etc. just talking points picked up on right wing radio or Fox. You almost could feel sorry for these rubes but I will save my tears for something worthwhile. Like the tears of joy I will shed when tRump gets what is coming to him.

They are always throwing out the alternative facts when the real evidence to indict drumpf et al is overwhelming. redumbliCONs will continue to be in denial until they are voted out of office in the next elections. The eventual truth will set American Democracy free.

no new bombshell revelations. So Comey thinks that Trump would probably lie? Everybody in the country knows that, even the people who voted for him and still support him. They're used to Trump talking out of his ass.

Also, Comey said he volunteered the information that Trump himself was not personally under investigation. That's pretty much what started this whole thing, Trump's insecurity that the FBI was out to get him.

I can just see a whole audience of people tuning in yesterday, finding a big nothing burger of crap they already knew, and some of them must have wondered why this was important enough to pre-empt Dr. Phil. They'll be less likely to pay any more attention to this, and that's a victory for the cons.

19. I was there when Watergate was unfolding

Watching the TV every chance I got in high school, and a lot of the social studies teachers were watching along with the rest of us, and this is nothing nearly as dramatic. Besides, the American span of attention has been reduced to the length of a tweet these days.

Comey's testimony was a big yawn for most of the people who don't bother to think about politics until the weekend before they have to vote. And the reich wing found plenty to be happy about, so I don't expect the GOP Congress to turn on Trump anytime soon.

We're in for a minimum of three and a half more years of non-functional government. And that's an optimistic look at it!

@RepAdamSchiff

Comey: He dangled my job. Demanded loyalty. Wanted Flynn case dropped. Wanted Russia cloud lifted. Fired me. Trump: I'm totally vindicated!

And it was true so VINDICATION!

Everything else Comey said was a lie though.

They make about as much sense as poor old McCain.

with a lot of caveats. It was interesting that Comey drilled down further when asked about the first instance during the briefing at Trump tower on the Steele daossier. He specifically said he meant that Trump was not being personally investigated related to the dossier. The second instance was the same.

Comey also said his remarks about Trump not being personally investigated were "technically true" although Trump's campaign was being investigated and as head of the campaign, the investigation could well touch/reach Trump.

But the big news was that even if Trump wasn't himself personally under investigation, he is now. Comey said he was "sure" Mueller was investigating possible obstruction of justice. Someone on MSNBC said that Mueller has Comey's memos and the fact that Mueller hasn't turned them over to the intel cmte is good evidence he is using them to figure out if Trump obstructed justice.
