Lordy I hope there are tapes...
I have not had the time to watch Comey's testimony. But in reading summaries of it I know that that while what was said was terribly damning of Trump, he was also careful to only state the facts as he saw them. He's a company man through and through it seems, to a fault. There wasn't a lot more in his actual testimony that he did not already mention in his preview. But those 6 words to me are chilling. As I said I see Comey as a company man to a fault. There is not much love lost for him here after his handling of the Clinton email event before the election. He's not exactly a progressive person I would say. But I DO think he believes in the institutions, the country, the job. And you could tell by what he said, his tone, and those 6 words that Trump scared the ever living SHIT out of him. Not of course in terms of intimidation, the man is a man child. But in the gradual realization of just the kind of person the country had managed to place in that seat of power. I can imagine all the blood draining from his face, him going white as a sheet, several times when addressed by Trump.
