To complain about "leakers" rather than condemn the behavior of the person who is at the center of the controversy.

All the Drumpf surrogates were whining about Comey rather than admit what Drumpf did was illegal and unethical.

longer than they need in order to keep power, unless of course they felt they could use him a bit longer for something at that point.

Rump is not and never has been one of them. They include the huge powers back in the shadows and, I feel we have good reason to suspect, the ex- Director of the FBI. Among active conspirators may also be one or more on SCOTUS who were involved in eliminating voting rights protections; the excuse that they were no longer needed was ridiculous on its face and disproved literally starting immediately.

They played the cards they had to take power away from the Democrats -- large scale voter suppression, Trump's populist movement, Russian efforts to get rid of the Democratic threat to Putin's ambitions, and mass media swiftboating.

So they won and now are dealing with the problems Rump presents them. But Rump's power comes entirely from the fools who elected him and will last only until they can be persuaded to turn their backs on him.

is that some of that "sweeping legislation" that the GOP wants (using the orange robot to merely sign it), has had and will continue to have difficulty getting enacted due to the closeness of the Senate. The Senate managed to shove some horrible department heads in and of course Goursuch (when Turtle changed the threshold), but for general legislation, they will be ham-stringed.

Makes you wonder if they may bail on him sooner in favor of Pence, who might be able to sweet talk legislation through the Senate.

Fri Jun 9, 2017, 07:34 AM

a President Pence would be acceptable to both the strong-conservative and extreme-conservative factions in Congress, which are currently warring, and to both the religious and economic extremist factions outside.

Pence is both a social and economic extremist, though, and I believe a classic authoritarian follower. If it happens, it'll be "interesting" to see if the realities of being in power moderate him or make him worse. From what I read it was the latter in Iowa, where he betrayed his campaign promises for relative moderation.

My best guess is that he's already made his deals and that the powers behind him will protect him from possibly going down with Rump, but who knows for sure? Ryan's next in line -- an economic extremist's wet dream for the presidency without the religious zealotry.

But Trump has more leaks in his own house that he should be worried about? Comey was a private citizen and you told him go ahead and leak things out, because you tweeted that he had better hope there was no tapes. Hey Donnie, where are to those tapes? What moron and only getting worse by the second!

25. Many experts are arguing

that what Comey did regarding some of his memos, was not technically a "leak". He had a "friend" provide copies of his own meeting notes to the press. The critical classified info notes were sent to Mueller.

Dems should continue to push their GOP committee chairs to subpoena the "tapes" (which probably don't exist).
