Ryan- Trump couldn't form criminal intent because "hes just new to this."

“The president’s new at this. He’s new to government. So he probably wasn’t steeped in the long-running protocols that establish the relationships between DOJ, the FBI and White Houses. He’s just new to this.”

-Paul Ryan

If Trump didn't know these are improper and possibly illegal contacts and demands why did he vociferously criticize Bill Clinton for meeting with Loretta Lynch on the tarmac and why did he ask everybody to leave the room when he made them ?

Kind of a lame excuse for the most powerful position in the land. If I can't feign ignorance to get out of something illegal, why should the president of the United States?

the lamest, weakest, excuse of them all. aargh.

what kind of reception does he get to this bullshit when he's being interviewed, or was this just comments he made not in response to an interview?
