Need some reassurance, please. Tell me that Trump isn't going to get away with it! Please!

I keep hoping. I keep watching. I keep hearing. Time after time after time, news reports drop the smoking guns. Another link to Russia. Another charge against Trump. Another piece of the obvious puzzle coming into place.

We all know he's in collusion with Russia. It's simple logic. Simple common sense.

But he's still sitting in the White House ruining our very lives.

I'm trying to be patient. Trying to remember that Watergate took a long time. But Trump is actively making America poor again. He's actively making America vulnerable again. And he's actively taking us back to the dark ages.

What in the hell is it going to take for him to be exposed???!!!

At the time, it seemed interminable. The tension built, then finally the dam broke and and Nixon was gone.
The process lasted for over two years.

We have a long way to go and will travel the path with much uncertainty as to the outcome. Be patient and be ready
to fight next year to reclaim our government and our sanity.

If he does manage to stay in office the full term, it is because the party has become somewhat of a cult where people are believing what they choose to believe rather than what critical thinking would tell them. This is what Fox News and right wing radio has done to them. If it happens, they will pay the price in the elections because they have become so disconnected from the rest of society.

and intimidate his way through as long as he can. But he may just decide to quit and have a reasonably decent existence into old age. He's better off quitting early enough to stop the investigation before he's carted off to jail. It's a delicate balance. Somebody is going to have to Goldwater him at some point. As this thing goes on, others will get sucked in. They may want to get him out of his seat before that happens.

he's only fooling himself and when he finally falls it will be a cataclysmic event in his life - that he won't be able to ever recover from.

I think he and his family will wind up in worse shape than Bernie Madoff.

Trump's only been in office 4 months and the investigations are still sweeping up the bit players in the Russian mess. The FBI is nothing if not methodical and they will make sure their case is solid and unassailable as they close in on their primary target. Trump will be the last name on the list, but if we are lucky, one of his minions will flip and rat him out to save their own ass. Hopefully that will be sooner than later.

Another...

So, the KGOP will try to conflate these into one ...
which allows them to focus on a single narrow issue when justifying that they have 'won'...

IMO....

Obstruction of justice / attempted influence of investigation is relevant to 3 jurisdictions...

1. An impeachable offense - which is solely a House/Senate matter -- House has to vote & then goes to a Senate trial/vote ....

2. A federal offense which falls within the scope of Mueller's investigations... and it will be up to Mueller whether to address the offense as a stand alone charge... or to use as part of a larger RICO type case...

3. An illegal act which could be used by NYAG in a state RICO case to establish a pattern of ongoing criminal behaviors

Any 1, 2 or all 3 possibilities can use the same Obstruction activity as part of their "case".

The best scenario is that everyone bombards House & Senate w/ Resistance efforts....
Demanding that they address impeachment & expressing opposition to AHCA, and other detrimental policy proposals...
&
Encouraging your Senators not to confirm any candidates nominated by *45 (like FBI director) until House addresses impeachment....

That will hopefully lead to 2 things...
1. Impeachment might actually be voted on
2. It will prevent House/Senate from being able to make much headway on anything legislative

For that turncoat swine to be impeached the dems have to win back control of the House of Reps.

I really don't think the republicans will ever impeach one of their own, even Russian spy Trump.
