He has a long way to go before he convicts an impeached Republican President Trump as a desperate attempt to save his seat from the mounting combined Trump-Republican brand debacle.

hard-core extremists. It's important to realize that when Rump is gone, they will still be there, powers both within and outside government, and in better control than now. Hopefully, the merely hard-core faction and extreme hard-core faction will still be warring, though.

In spite of the labels used by irresponsible writers, it's important to note that almost all moderate conservatives were purged from congress the past 20 years. Some actually refer to the extremist Koch caucus (officially the "Freedom caucus&quot as the conservative faction!

This isn't relative, though. Choices used to be leaving Social Security alone, versus some cutbacks to supposedly encourage people to save more and be less dependent, versus repealing/"privatizing" it. There is NO "leave it alone because it is a proven program that works and our people want it" faction today, and the second one will support much larger cutbacks than it ever did before--whatever the voters will let them get away with.

I'm convinced that he wants his legacy to be the undoing of all things Obama, and I'm not sure how much of what he does is related to that versus making money.

Either way, however, it is not a good situation.

I know that sounds nutz, but watching/listening to many of his supporters (on tv and in person) I think they're the kind of people who, while they don't vote, find themselves curiously 'finally represented' and now feel they have a voice.

I don't think they watched the debates, didn't follow his campaign, don't know much about him but that he's a 'businessman' and 'not Hillary.'

These aren't the people who have ever, or will ever, mount a grass roots movement or campaign for the major changes they're hoping for in their lives.

in and around my community who do not vote. I have a feeling they wear the hats and bloviate a lot, but that is all.

My disdain applies to anyone who does not vote. One year, my brother moved house and became very busy. Or so he said. He had time to change his registration. It only takes a few minutes. Whenever he yelled about Reagan, I told him that I would not listen to anyone who did not bother to vote.

Considering how few Americans can name their Senators, can name any SCOTUS judges, can name the VP, your opinion is probably very true.

That he is involved in, has been empowered by the very nature of our Democratic intitutions.
He is trying to created a perverted Fascistic Capitalism, and we are all slaves to work the machines.

He is again, endlessly playing the American people, and plundering legitimate and honest businesses, as he has been doing for his entire so called "professional" career.

And to what end?

It is basically biting the hand that feeds him!

He truly is an embodiment of evil.

He calls himself a Christian?

There are no 10 commandments for this demonic bastard, there are only Trump commandments.

"It's all mine, and I'll do whatever the hell I want. You can't stop me!"

It's like that cringworthy moment when he uttered the phrase "...My military..."

Say what?

Truly Satanic.

As a Am erican, I'll be the first to volunteer being shackled into a box car to the sexual deviant's death camps likely being hand-wringingly planned by the Vice president, only hoping for myself the method of execution isn't too cruel and unusual.
Although it probably will be.
But for the sake of the entire nation's safety, I'll lay down on the cross. Things that make ya go hmmm...

The only real ideology Donald Trump has is Donald Trump.

His purpose for Wealth and Power is not to change government -- it is pursuant to the game of He Who Dies with the Most Toys Wins.
