I only heard the statement on the radio, and could not find a full transcript of it, but he seemed to be saying that he did not ask Comey to swear allegiance via an oath. Of course, no one's saying that there's any elaborate, one-knee oath of fealty code of honor anyway, so does that denial even mean anything? It's got enough wiggle room for a semi to drive through...
