Trump's threats against Comey and his lawyers promise to file a complaint with justice amounts to witness intimidation, according to Richard Painter. The threats are more than just ill-advised bravado. They compound the obstruction of justice case against Trump.

That reaction also shows why Rogers and Coats looked so unsettled as they refused to answer the Senate committee's questions on conversations with Trump. They know what he is capable of.
