Trump's Nightmare - Pence has 90% support GOP Congress

Political Wire

Axios

Beyond his base voters, Trump has an even bigger potential problem looming with his base in Congress. While Republican lawmakers won’t say it publicly, it’s widely known if they could pick between President Pence and President Trump, the Vice President would win 90% of the vote among the GOP.”

“Bill Clinton benefited from a large number of true fans and believers among elected Democrats when he survived impeachment. Trump has few authentic fans or loyalists in Congress. So if things take a turn for the worse, GOP flight could come fast and furious — since the end result would be President Pence.”

but it does suggest a possibility of a Trump impeachment. Not sure the outcome of that would be much better.

There has been much less evidence of that, but it hasn't been completely absent either. Best way to pick him off or to weaken him considerably would be if he knew full well about sessions' meetings with the Russians.

Any impeachment will weaken the thugs even if Pence becomes the new thug in chief.

because deplorables will be furious and angry and may not even vote next time in protest. Not to mention that if facing impeachement, trump will do anything to destroy GOP. He demands loyalty rom others but he is not loyal to anyone.

At least not until the 2020 election gets seriously underway. Pence would be much more effective at getting the conservative agenda through congress. Meanwhile we have day after day of bad headlines for the GOP

He would be a disaster. He's already been caught lying about Flynn and there's probably other ammo to stop him from happening. He's nuts!

it would be sickening. This is a difficult thing for me to say but I hope Trump can hang in there until next summer before the mid-terms. When I think of Trump as President I laugh at the insanity of it all......when I think of Pence as President I break into a cold sweat.
