Reince Priebus Fawns at Trump Cabinet Meeting: It is a 'Blessing To Serve Your Agenda'

Reince Priebus, the perennially embattled White House Chief of Staff likes his job — in fact, he REALLLLY likes his job, and he wants the president and everyone else to know it.

During a cabinet meeting with Trump on Monday, Priebus took a moment to give some remarks about how honored he was to be serving in the administration.

“On behalf of the entire senior staff around you Mr. President we thank you for the opportunity and blessing that you’ve given us to serve your agenda and the American people and we’re continuing to work very hard every day to accomplish those goals.”

It’s no secret that Trump basks in the sycophancy of his surrogates. Conservative writer John Podhoretz has even likened those who appear on television on Trump’s behalf as similar to Stalin’s lackeys, but Priebus’ fawning praise is a new level and sounds less Stalin and more Kim Jong Un — or possibly Renfield.

Almost since he began serving in the West Wing, Priebus has reportedly been in the fight of his life. A Mediaite count found at least 14 different instances dating from before the inauguration where “anonymous sources” in the White House have insisted that his time was nigh.

No, listen, this isn't normal behavior. Seriously, who says stuff like that unless they're under duress and fear for their safety! I don't understand the odds that each and everyone of those people spoke in concert like brainless automatons unless this was planned and agreed to in advance.

Did they all get a threatening memo from Dear Leader commanding them to praise him under penalty of death? Are their loved ones being held hostage to force their compliance? Was there an off camera squad of armed, jackbooted goons pointing guns at them?

That he needed to be shown a little love and affection to inflate his sagging ego?? He DID have a tough week so maybe they were hoping to get off to a better start? Who even knows.
