We've never had one in this country and I sincerely doubt that we ever will. We're far too large and diverse to ever make that happen.

However, rioting in the streets will have potential.

To a first approximation everybody in your country is armed, right? And you have a lot of people on the other side of the barricades quite prepared ready to pull triggers on rioting libruls...

This has the potential to become a catastrophic national conflagration. I'm not saying don't do it, but be aware of the potential.

person out of the 330 million or so of us without a gun. No, wait. I just did a quick online search and apparently gun ownership has dropped in this country to about 36% of us. Not to mention, about 3% of all gun owners own 50% of all guns.

And yes, civil war is messy. But maybe a better choice than silently going off to die from lack of health care, polluted water, unsafe food.

In the spirit of the Colonists in 1765-1775, what about an economic boycott to bring corporations to their knees? Somethings, won't happen; gasoline, alcohol, internet, etc.
However, we could all stop eating out or taking vacations. Thoughts?

Two hundred and fifty years ago there weren't corporations as we know them. The colonists needed to wage an actual revolution to break free of England. I don't think corporations had anything to do with it.

And not eating out or taking vacations would deprive me a heck of a lot more than it would any corporations.

Getting people to understand how things actually work and to stop voting against their own self interest is our only hope.

Remember, roughly 50% of the voters will have probably voted for the "winners". Even on good days the difference is like 55/45. And unfortunately at least 30% won't even have voted, on a good year.

Quite honestly, the only "hope" would be some AG at the state level, or better yet a collection of them, pushing the issue in the courts. Elections are run at the state level and they'd be in a position to do the investigation and take it to court to allow in essence for more discovery.

Militants to act as deputies enacting martial law.... permanently.

Fuck 'em....
Better option is to appear peaceful
yet be prepared at a moments notice
to revolt...

The sad truth of the matter is that the insurgents have already infiltrated...
And are fully engaged in shifting the government

from a constitutionally based democratic republic
to that of
a Dick-tated rule by proclamation based kleptocracy

We have never, to my knowledge, had to run a counter-insurgency operation
on US soil in an attempt to
squash an internal attack on our government...

I hope that tactical measures will prevail expeditiously and without excessive exposure....

But should they not, we best be prepared to stand our ground... by whatever means necessary.

FWIW.
