Yes, they are misogynists, but it's not that they are "afraid" of women. Rather, they think women have no place in congress. They respect male congress people and will avoid confronting them. They have no problem confronting women congress people (because they believe women don't belong there in the first place).

Their self-image is based on the idea that they are automatically superior to half the population by virtue of their sex organs. They love women who are stupid or who coddle them and make them feel superior. But the moment a smart woman makes it clear that she is not going to pretend to be stupid just to make them feel superior, they become livid. From that point on, they will do anything within their power to destroy the career of the woman they hate.

Only about 5% of men are like this, in my experience. Even 5% is too high, though. Too many supremely competent women's careers are destroyed by the jealousy, insecurity, and vindictiveness of such pathetic and incompetent men.

they are not the men they once were. The women who piss them off the most seem to be better men than they ever were. They are more effective and forceful, more articulate and arguably more intelligent than they.

And I would further suggest that Kamala Harris is even worse than Elizabeth Warren to them because both sessions and mcCain are old southern farts and Harris is young, attractive and Black. Yes. they definitely have a problem with Harris.

When your identity is built on the dominance of your gender, you have rigged the game to your advantage, and yet you still have women who can do it better than you can, you start to question the validity of your world view. Rather than do that, these weak little boys try to destroy that which makes them question.
