Remember the time when Ronald Reagan was shot and Republicans all jumped on board.....

....for stronger gun control measures?

Yeah, me neither.

They fought the Brady Bill (named for the President's wounded secretary) tooth and nail for decades.

Freaking Ronald Reagan isn't enough to overcome the NRA lobby, let alone 20 dead first graders. I hate being so pessimistic, but I can't see many eyes being opened today.

True or not, it's being widely reported all over. Once that happens, it's truth. Neema Jun 2017 #3

Yup. And the right is so good at that because they've figured out truth doesn't matter. Neema Jun 2017 #5

And started shooting after being told it was Republicans.
The Gun Control you may get is that (D) are banned from owning guns.

You don't realize that the right is calling this the opening shots of a new Civil War.

Don't be surprised if you don't find death squads and Pinochet style helicopter rides being advocated.
This isn't a 'GOOD THING' in any form, shape, or fashion.

For one thing, the only source on this is a Republican, so it pays to be skeptical of anything they will say on this matter.

They don't care about truth, they care about perception. Getting to the actual truth takes too long, giving them time to send a thousand lies into the wind. Those will be believed and repeated.
