Maybe. When/if the Kennedy's dwindle down to a handful.
Apparently we are a nation unable to look too long or too deeply at deep down ugliness. Bc we sorta...let that one go.
We will not.
Or MLK
Or RFK.
Or Marilyn Monroe.

(19,803 posts)I just know that year it was on my birthday.
Its difficult to tie down a plane crash on any given day.
All speculation.

(152 posts)He was going to win the Presidency. No doubt in my mind. And I believe he would have stopped at nothing...NOTHING.. to bring them down and make them pay. The CIA was never going to let him get elected.

(985 posts)didn't do it. That he was a CIA mind controlled patsy.
The people that wanted JFK dead would have wanted to get rid of Bobby even more. I think there's no question that in November, the 5th anniversary of his brother's shooting, he would have won.
But, with the JFK shooting there's more to hang a conspiracy theory on. People at the scene claiming the shots came from another location, the Zapruder film, mafia dons claiming they did it, and maybe most of all, a mobbed up guy killing Oswald, who told police he'd been set up as a patsy, days later.
It's interesting to read RFK conspiracy theories and like I said, if a conspiracy killed JFK, those same people wouldn't want Bobby to be President. But, the actual theory of what happened is a little more far fetched.

(66,286 posts)One loser with a mail-order rifle changed the course of history.
It's that simple.
And because we don't like simple, we jump on to rumors of shadowy cabals and talk of sinister, Byzantine conspiracies that sell newspapers, magazines, and History Channel segments. We spend lifetimes puzzling out unrelated scraps of information, misinformation, rumor, and falsifications, trying to make sense of the senseless.
It's been over fifty years. it's time to let go and find something else to do with our lives...

(152 posts)& for me that one part is the magic bullet.
50 years or not, you can't explain that or get around it.

(66,286 posts)direction in mid-air in order to wound both Kennedy and Connally.
The tests put Kennedy and Connally on a straight line front-to-back and track the path of the bullet like that.
The thing is, Connally wasn't sitting directly in front of Kennedy. He was perched on a jump seat in the Lincoln limo, below and to the inside of Kennedy. Tracking the bullet along that path shows a direct line between the two men and their respective wounds.
That's all I'm going to refute, since it's the only factor you mentioned. Any more rebuttal would be a waste of time. If one has made up one's mind that a sinister, Hollywood-style, masterminded, super-secret plot was formulated by infallible planners who never make mistakes, and that the cabal who planned it are superhumanly resistant to spilling the secret, and that we'll "never know the truth", than none of my efforts would make any difference.
