I posted this for my few tRump-supporting relatives and friends on FB...

A lot of articles and commentary are filling my feed in regards to this morning's shooting in Alexandria. It's always frightening whether it's a school, a movie theater or a baseball field.

Much of the time I'll ignore a lot of the commentary in these instances because it can get pretty repugnant.

I just want to make one thing clear to all my FB friends no matter where you stand politically.

This was an act of a violent and deranged individual. He may have political motivations, but it doesn't change that fact.

The vast majority of Democrats, Republicans, Conservatives, Tea Party types, Liberals, Socialists, Christians, Atheists, Muslims, etc...more or less the vast majority of the population DO NOT resolve their issues with a gun.

Period.

~*~

I'm usually the most outspoken when it comes to politics. My friends and family know that. A few of them are tRump supporters and we made the decision a long time ago to not allow these disagreements define our relationships. This was something I felt needed to be made clear.

Violence such as this is never acceptable no matter the motivations and no one group has a corner on the market in conducting such a horrible act.

I have several FB friends who are avid Trump supporters and this might get them to think differently. They are also avid 2nd Amenmenters. They love their guns as much as they do Trump.

i wonder if your conservative trump voter fb friends denounce the violence perpetrated by white supremacists and bigots - which occurs a lot more often than what happened today.

they don't observe the niceties. they are incapable of caring about just anyone who gets killed or shot or attacked senselessly. i appreciate your gesture, but i don't think they do. they're entitled. but they are not givers, and they don't care. i get tired of having to give a shit about them.
