How soon will the House Rubs jump ship after WaPo article this evening?

And which ones will jump first? For some reason, I am very optimistic that we will see them start to criticize Dump in the next couple of days to distance themselves.

I may be wrong and they will continue to support him. But if his disapproval rating drops anymore...

At least not yet anyway. There is a long way to go before the people in the Greed Over Principles party jump ship.

Trump has committed felonies.
Pence now is lawyering up re: his lying under oath/obstruction (felony)
Sessions is cooked, same charges, maybe more
Chaffetz was being investigated campaign money, obstruction
Nunes ( Chair of House Intell. Comm)for sure has done obstructions
Burr ( chair of Senate Intell. comm) quite possibly the same.

McDonnell and his wife have suspicious money issues

hell, the one issue of Russian money to elections is gonna get more than a few Congress folks
and then there is the money laundering which is already snaring Kushner and Trump, possibly the Trump boys too
plus their illegal foundation funding.

I don't mind if this takes a couple more months, just to make sure the FBI, Treasury, get everyone in one net.
better bet Ryan is sweating right now.

Mueller is looking into Kushner's efforts to get money from Russian banks, which is illegal because of sanctions, plus that latest attempt to have a secret line of communication to Russia.

likely you'll see repubs sticking w/ him for most if not all of this year, assuming that something truly damning doesnt come out. Then you will begin to see each member making an assessment of how they should support the Pres based on their races. Those in tight races will begin to distance themselves should his approval continue to slide. But again, I dont see that happening for another year. You gotta remember, this is their guy and he's not even 6 months in yet. They will give him a chance to turn it around yet before jumping.

IKR.

Not much to turn around. He has NO agenda, and what little he does is horrible, he doesn't CARE that the ruskies are interfering into our elections, and a majority of the American people don't agree with anything he's done IE: Try to kill Health Care, Travel Ban etc., etc., etc. The GOP's agenda is about murdering 24 million people because they want to throw them OFF of their insurance, and passing laws which help the rich and hurt the poor, elderly and disadvantaged. They don't like tRumputin, but they need their treasonous president in there so that they can destroy this country. They'll stay with him until the wheels fall off, or like I say, until they can finish destroying this country and everybody they can in it--EVEN folks who voted for tRumputin and THEM.

One thing I STILL see this treasonous, obese, mentally-deteriorating criminal doing unfortunately is starting a war SOMEWHERE, to try to drag attention AWAY from what's going on with all of these investigations. Hell, it wouldn't shock me to see the mentally-insane tRumputin STILL fire Meuller.

of no return and not before then.

It's all about their reelection chances. We may see some start testing the waters in the next week or so depending on 45's numbers. If they keep trending down, we'll see some rats start jumping ship.

However, I think the ship jumping will be done strategically. They'll send out a few and see what that does for their poll numbers and if their numbers hold, more will follow.

I think that signals the turning point.
They've finally figured out that he may turn on them at any moment so they might as well do their job and get rid of him.
It will still take time but the writing is on the wall.

The big question is what desperate move will Trump make to head off impeachment.

Thune does not publicly support Dump's twitters this morning. Do we see Rubs testing the water of standing up against Dump?

If one or two come out against Trump, they have the other 230 or so to use peer pressure to get them back in line. And, if necessary, they can wave Koch brothers money at them.
