GOP's 2nd Amendment Rhetoric Has Come Back To Haunt Them.

GOPHERS though they were immune to their 2nd Amendment rhetoric because they thought only liberals, Democrats and people of no consequence were the only ones vulnerable to getting shot. They thought that they and their own were bullet proof. That no one would attack them or one of theirs. So they have been loose or silent over "2nd amendment solutions". Even Trump suggested such a remedy on the campaign trail if Hillary were elected. RW pundits and right winger approved of "hunting licenses" for liberals.

So all was ok as long as the other guy got blasted. And in some ways the GOP were quiet or said nothing when shooting only effected people or groups they did not like.

Now that one of theirs have been shot and others of their were under threat they claim unity and we all took a bullet. So it only matters if a GOPPER takes a slug.

Well fuck you for your hypocrisy. You say nothing or resist even when 27 children and adults get killed at a school. You stay silent when families are threatened when they lost a child or loved one. What attitude could be more despicable.

... I don't care about those Republicans that got shot. Maybe it sounds heartless, but I will say I'm glad they didn't die but I have zero sympathy for their suffering. They wanted this. They wanted an America where any fucking nutjob could march into a gun store and buy whatever the fuck he or she wanted. They got that vision of America they wanted so dearly. Tough shit.

I am a gun owner who is responsible and sane, and I believe in background checks and restrictions to keep guns out of the hands of crazy and/or dangerous people. But the Republicans sneered: "You're not A REAL gun owner!" at people like me, insisting nobody could be a "real gun owner" unless they worshiped the NRA and screeched about any and all even POTENTIAL impediments upon owning and brandishing guns.

This, from the party that endlessly screams to outlaw abortion yet simultaneously starts hee-hawing like donkeys that "GUN LAWS SOLVE NOTHING! PEOPLE WILL JUST IGNORE THEM!"

Like you said, they were just fine with other people getting shot. Just fine marching around with their guns trying to intimidate others. Just fine with parents burying their kids while these assholes smugly insisted there was nothing that could be done.

I don't applaud the shooter, but I do very much applaud the fact now these pukes know they're vulnerable as well.

Will they change their views? I doubt it. Very much doubt it. To be a Republican means never learning, never growing, never changing.

What is most troubling is that the GOP does not appose open carry any kind of weapon anywhere. Plus ANYONE no matter how dangerous can buy a weapon of choice like going to McDonalds. Ironically when the Black Panthers became armed is when they freaked and want to restrict weapons.

Of course we know that they only want Republicans or approved groups by GOP to have guns if you really examine where they really are.

They supported "soapbox, ballot box, ammo box"

They never thought they would be the target.

Very foolish people

Now, I'm just free form writing, but here's the major difference between Modern Conservative and Liberals. This is a topic to wide in breadth to cover in one or two pages. It would require a volume or more to cover the major nuances.

Modern Conservatives have been brought up with Ayn Randian self-affecting beliefs. They treasure their freedom, as they perceive it, but at the same time, they cherish their own personal freedoms. Being out for oneself, they are more prone to sit things out, when the shit really hits the fan, because they don't want to lose their possessions or become incarcerated. They will fight, when there is skin in the game, when their shit is being challenged. Now, I am discussing the average Conservative, not the fringe types.

Modern Liberals place a slightly higher weight on liberties and freedoms as a societal group. Transgressions on others are seen as more of an affront to their core and place a higher ideological value on its destruction. They are equally as protective of freedoms too, and they seemingly own almost as many firearms as Conservatives do, it's just that they don't seem to be as much into hoarding them or boasting about their possession.

This is perhaps, why the Conservatives are more freaked out by a Liberal shooter. Firstly, it's not one of them. Secondly, it shows that they are equally prone to do damage, and instead of trying some local bureau action, that hurts mostly low-level and innocent people, they perform decapitation attacks on leadership. This is the same premise that the U.S. uses against ISIS and the Taliban--they go for the leadership as a means of demoralization and dissuasion. Ted Nugent knows who the buyers of firearms are, and it's not the one-sided Conservative narrative that they've all been selling themselves.
