Drumpt's New Cuba Policy Could Put His Hotel Competitors at a Disadvantage

http://www.cnn.com/2017/06/16/politics/donald-trump-cuba-hotel-competitors/index.html

snip:

The proposed changes in US-Cuba relations that President Donald Trump will unveil Friday in Miami could adversely impact hotel brands that directly compete with Trump's business empire, making it more difficult for them expand their foothold in Cuba.

Drumpt crime family policies now sanctioned by law. Hardly surprising.

Pulling back from Obama's policy on Cuba allows the Russians to expand there and it also allows non-American developers to invest in hotels, tourism, etc. These are not his competitors, and he can't invest right now, so he doesn't give a fuck about American businesses

1) Russians can expand there no matter what Trump does or Obama did. Nothing they have done or will do affects what Russians can or will do in Cuba, 2) Non-American developers have been investing in Cuba for decades now. When I was in Cuba in 1995 all of the hotels foreigners would stay in were either owned by Spanish or French businesses. Nothing Trump does stops or allows what they can do. American hotel owners couldn't invest in Cuba under the Obama regulations. Trump did not change that.

Absolutely. And Canadians have been traveling there on vacation for quite some time. I guess what I was trying to say is that it essentially keeps out any American developers. I'm sure that 45 can't stomach the idea of American real estate and hotel developers expanding into Cuba when he can't.

Question is, How long will Maduro keep below-market oil going to Cuba in exchange for medical, police and political advice?

But I read somewhere today that this latest development allows them to expand their military presence in Cuba, possibly creating a 21st century version of The Cuban missile crisis.

If Hillary did this, they would not be able to protect her from deplorables.
