McConnell won't even allow staff to meet with patient advocacy groups on Trumpcare

Once again, this is not normal. This is not how major legislation is done. The entire health sector—and millions and millions of people who have bodies and thus need health care—is being shut out of Mitch McConnell's Trumpcare efforts. Whether it's hospitals or physicians or advocacy groups, they are being as much kept in the dark about what the bill would do as the rest of the Senate is.

This week, a group of more than 15 patients groups—including the American Heart Assn., the March of Dimes, the American Lung Assn. and the American Diabetes Assn.—asked McConnell’s office to meet with them next week, proposing any time between Friday and June 22.

A representative from McConnell's office told them staff schedules were too busy, according to representatives of several of the organizations.

Dick Woodruff, vice president of the American Cancer Society’s advocacy arm, said even when he and others have sat down with Republican congressional aides, it is often fruitless.

Some will STAY stupid, and will blame Pres. Obama if/when they lose their ObamaCares.

Some in Kentucky "seem" to be waking up, but it'll be too late if this "seçret" TrumpDoesn'tCare bill--whatever it IS--passes, and we KNOW that it's gonna be a NASTY piece of work. It has to be if it's going to throw 24 million people off of their health care just so the richest 1% (Including the GOP & tRumputin) can get their delicious tax cuts.

McConnell and Ryan should be tarred and feathered throughout this life and all their future incarnations. Actually they deserve worse than that!

I want to see those two gone almost more than I want to see Trump gone. I hate them both with a passion. I actually believe they are more evil than Trump.

vote for it, if they don't get a say. Ones up for reelection in 2018 may be cutting their own throat. McConnell just got voted back in 2016 so he has a long time yet.

I especially cannot stand his smug smirk.

What they are doing is just vicious.

If this thing goes through like it's looking like, we may have more days like Tuesday. I don't want that to happen. I'm not capable of doing it, but there are a lot of fired up nutjobs now. I want them to work for the good of the country.

He appears to be taking a page out of Trump's playbook and becoming an authoritarian leader.

Perhaps he needs to confirm or deny the stories that his PAC accepted a 2 million dollar donation from a Ukrainian businessman.

Perhaps we need to start scrutinizing McConnell's activities and asking questions and demanding answers. We can't just roll over....
