Blast from the past - Bill O'Reilly, Michael Savage, Sean Hannity on accused shooter's reading list

Police found right-wing political books, brass knuckles, empty shotgun shell boxes and a handgun in the Powell home of a man who said he attacked a church in order to kill liberals "who are ruining the country," court records show.

Knoxville police Sunday evening searched the Levy Drive home of Jim David Adkisson after he allegedly entered the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church and killed two people and wounded six others during the presentation of a children's musical.

Knoxville Police Department Officer Steve Still requested the search warrant after interviewing Adkisson. who was subdued by several church members after firing three rounds from a 12-gauge shotgun into the congregation.

Adkisson targeted the church, Still wrote in the document obtained by WBIR-TV, Channel 10, "because of its liberal teachings and his belief that all liberals should be killed because they were ruining the country, and that he felt that the Democrats had tied his country's hands in the war on terror and they had ruined every institution in America with the aid of media outlets."

And just in case you're curious...

In the wake of Wednesday’s shooting of a Republican congressman, conservative talk-radio host Michael Savage on Wednesday suggested something he wouldn’t have dreamed of doing a few months ago. He said the government should take control of the media.

In between references to Rachel Maddow (whom he mockingly referred to as Rachel Madcow), Savage wondered if “the haters (should) be removed from the airwaves by the federal government for their constant drumbeat of hatred against (Donald) Trump and Republicans.” Turns out, he thought, Yes, they should be, because of “their constant drumbeat of hatred against Trump and Republicans, calling for, amongst other things resistance, with their sneers every night.”

Savage’s theory came at the end of a long monologue in which he sprinkled in his hatred of liberals while coming to the conclusion that angry liberals are going to kill everyone.

Anyone who does these type of things is a nut. Pardon my bluntness.

Yes the press will pound on his being a Bernie supporter (he basically hated everyone) and it doesn't really matter that...Eric Rudolph, Robert Lewis Dear Jr. (Planned parenthood), white supremacist James Wenneker von Brunn (Holocaust Museum), anti-abortion extremist Scott Roeder (Dr. Tiller) were all spurred on by extreme hateful rhetoric coming from the right including actual Fox News personalities.

They are were NUTS.
