My Take on Things

If you add it all up, simply put, Trump is at war with the U.S. government, and I'm not talking just about the intelligence community. Here's my thinking on this.

Trump has put people in charge of governmental agencies who are hostile to their mission - the EPA, HUD, Education, Health etc, etc. These established bureaucracies will push back and sabotage him in their own way from civil servants who have a vested interest in taking him down. Then there is the open war he has now with the FBI and the other 16 intelligence agencies who will protect their own by helping each other any way they can. The military has been kept out of this fray so far because of "Mad Dog" Mattis, who you will remember didn't kiss Trump's ass the other day but thanked the people who served in the military when it came time for him to sing Il Duce's praises. Then place this in context of Watergate and Deep Throat, who we now know was the #2 man at the FBI, and you can factor Trumpster's problems by a factor of a thousand or more. In other words, the Trumpster is up to his eyeballs in a war with the U.S. government that will eventually bring him down. That I am certain. How they go about it will be fun to watch, but go down he will. But as arrogant as the Trumpster is, he is deluded into thinking he can out resource the government and win. A big mistake and one he will have plenty of time to think about while he is spending the rest of his life in prison. I don't think Pence will pardon him as Ford did Nixon. The Trumpster has made too many powerful enemies for that to happen. The Trumpster will not win this battle. Any bets?

But I will go one step farther.

It is also the reason that his base will use to defend him. They will still find him blameless and consider him a victim.

All this nonsense about the "deep state" being some evil gov force is so stupid. It is code for the RW nutjobs hatred for gov as the enemy. They have been ragging on gov "bureaucrats" for years, as tho' our gov was some sort of communist regime. They fail to understand that this is a democracy, and the gov is us. As in "for the people, by the people, and of the people." Their hatred of gov is a childish selfishness that doesn't respect boundaries or self discipline.

Yes Trump will go down. There are more than enough gov servants, who have spent many years creating and serving gov programs to know that Trump's agenda to destroy gov is so detrimental. There may be a few millionaires, who want the freedom to run their businesses without regulations, but those regulations are protections against corporate greed and criminality.

Justice is a virtue. And karma is a law. Just like gravity, karma never stops working.
