He had released "My Brave Face"...one of his most "Beatlesque" songs in his entire solo career...and a few critics slammed him for TRYING TO SOUND LIKE THE BEATLES.

At the time, there was a flood of performers "trying to sound like the Beatles"...from the weekly airing of "Friends" and its Beatles-sounding theme by the Rembrants on down.

And his reaction was "Wait a minute...if ANYONE has the right to "sound like the Beatles, wouldn't it be ME?"

thrift store. I had to have it. It got me thinking about how much fun those days were. I was very lucky because I had a friend with parents who doted on their only child and drove us to 3 concerts. My parents just thought I was nuts. LOL.
