Doesn't want to go down in history as resigning. Just wants to go down in history as being investigated by the FBI, having the lowest popularity of any president of all time, and being impeached.

as the first President ever to be removed from office.

Now that would be an accomplishment, believe me!

He should go for it!

No president in history has ever been removed, he could be the first, and it would be the most beautiful removal, that I can tell you.

A true and very, very unique place in the history of the world!

Then he could get back to golf, and real grifting.

Removal will come before prosecution. If he's lucky he'll be able to pull weeds at a golf course on an army base somewhere.

because his focus has always been on himself and he wants no one else to share that spotlight. The Office of the Presidency is supposed to support and represent ALL of the people, not ONE of the people.

....someone who so obviously craves respect and adoration being reduced to a laughingstock has to be miserable. I know they try and keep him in a bubble but given that 1) he doesn't listen to anyone else and 2) he apparently consumes media especially about himself voraciously, there can be no doubt that he knows how hated he is.

I hope it eats away at him every minute of every day.

I don't mean that to say he wants bad things (which he obviously does), but that he's bad at getting them done. Take for example his Muslim ban, or the series of fuck ups that is the AHCA attempts. Not realizing that firing Comey for the Russia investigation was a dumb thing to do.

Bush may have been equally stupid, but had smarter more competent people around him.

and all Democrats who work for the various agencies he's trying to gut and he has been told he's got strict limits on governing by royal fiat, which is his corporate style. He loathes this job because he doesn't understand it and he doesn't want to.

That's really the best hope we have, that he'll eventually blow a massive hissy fit and quit.

He's still a vile racist, bigoted, misogynistic ass ripping away at our rights, and the very fabric of our democracy. I can't find any relief in his being less than thrilled at the job he took on at this point.

I won't feel any comfort until he's out of office and no longer inflicting harm on me and and those I love.

I have no words for the disconnect.
