A not-silent/VOCAL thread of support for 3 of our best friends: Joy REID, Geo.TAKEI, & Andy RICHTER
Joy is under wingnut attack for speaking TRUTH about SCALISE's horrendous beliefs. The wingnut shaming goes that we Libs are hypocrites for pretending to be bleeding hearts while kicking an a-hole while he's in whatever a-hole condition. What the sayings say, 1) "Don't speak ill of (whomever)", and 2) "If you don't have good to say SHUT UP." To which I say, B.S.! I also don't subscribe to the folk wisdom that death bed dictums and/or death bed curses are something special. So, Joy had her usual guts to point out that SCALISE is a wingnut a-hole whose ideology is genocide to millions, and the wingnuts have put their targets on her.
As for Mr TAKEI, he needs no introduction and is also under wingnut attack.
But a newbie in our beloved DU is Andy RICHTER, whose Twitterings are a beauteous Lib thing to behold. So, I don't know how to express my admiration, support, and love for these three beyond posting this for them, here.

Richter is a supporter of Planned Parenthood. At a fundraiser in 2016, he referenced abortion services provided in 1992 for Thyre when the couple had split and were each undergoing great personal difficulties. He stated that although they were very sad about the situation, they both knew it was the right decision for them; and that he is "eternally grateful" to the organization for allowing them to care for themselves, and also for the ability to choose the time to bring children into their lives. The couple had been married 22 years at the time of his statements.[25][26]
Richter is a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. After leaving Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Richter moved to Los Angeles.
His brother Victor Swanson, a schoolteacher, is a Democratic candidate in the 2018 election in Illinois's 14th district.
