This problem will continue.
My suggestion is for Democrats to start moving into red districts. We can start on the margins and move on from there.
I, myself, am less than one mile away from a Democratic district's line and represent a sure-fire Dem vote in a neighboring red district. This area is only red America on district map.
We have a current electoral system where the politicians get to pick their voters and not the other way around.
Until we change this process, GOPrs will continue to run the government without having the majority of voters voting for them.
If we want to stop Trump and the GOPrs from destroying the entire country, Dems who make up the majority, will have leave our enclaves and cross that line. That's how you beat them.
And as always, FDT.

(11,243 posts)The dividing line is now three blocks away. I still get to vote against my moronic yet strangely evil GOP stuffed suit state senate rep.
I am going to looking into local GOP precinct organization, see how many are organized. I might change my registration, take over a precinct and start voting in their party organization elections. Seriously. If they keep gerrymandering like they do, that might be the best option.
I would for sure change to independent, but as detailed as the voter profiles are now, I doubt that would fool them.

(45,806 posts)I would rather have the elections be fair and based on some rational lines than have either Party be able to manipulate the election. I'm sick of trying to find ways to work around the other side cheating!
