I believe ashling means that you can earn a degree but still be as ignorant as when you started.

However, college educated doesn't necessarily mean all of those other things.

but if you listen to any of them for more than 5 minutes, you begin to suspect things like recycled term papers, paying other people to sit the exams, and you know full well none of them have cracked a book since they walked across the stage to collect the diploma.
