around 10% to 15% in vote share now compared to 2017. Let us see a race where the Repub won by only 8% in 2016. My money is that Republican would lose. There are about 22 Districts where the margin of victory was less than 11% for the Republican in 2016.

(2,064 posts)AND fund the other 200 or so we need to win the majority. These moral victories have been pretty expensive. Time to start winning on a realistic budget if we're going to flip the house in 17 months

(819 posts)but a loss is a loss. Especially when over 34 million was poured into the D campaign. We can't spend this much on every race. This worries me going into the mid terms.

(491 posts)The money will leave the Republicans like it did in 2006 and 2008.

(16,162 posts)There's nothing else going on. It had the spotlight. That's impossible with hundreds of house races. even if you narrow it down to the 50 or so that will determine the next congress, it's not possible to cover and hype them in the same way this one was hyped. So no, $30 million won't be spent on every one of those races.
That being said it's going to be a very expensive mid term if we want a shot at getting the house back. I'll be giving early and often as much as possible.
