For the second time in recent weeks I have read about people in their 30s being elected as president of a "Young Democrats" group. I realize that age is a relative thing, but some college students might think that someone over 30 should be considered middle-aged. Is it a vanity thing for people with gray hair or receding hairlines, or is it similar to The Young Turks being headed by Cenk Uyger who is 47? Would these leaders be better served by holding a keg party instead?

(11,088 posts)I welcome anybody to call themselves young. It's the heart that matters really.
Besides "young" is a relative term that changes over time.
