of metal seat belt type things, that need keys to open. Make it so the police have to pick up their wheelchairs also. If these people have to be stuck in the wheel chairs then make the fucking authorities stuck with them too.

(I may be talking out of my ass here)

There have been wheelchair protests before (several during the HIV/AIDS protests). The strategies exist. They're just extreme strategies that are usually deployed only after a lengthy escalation (and not every wheel person can use the lock-in, lock-down strategies. Circulation impairment with spinal injuries is risky as hell.). This went from 1 to 11 far faster.
