The Turtle will let two vulnerable GOP senators vote against the bill because he only needs 50 to pass it. That means we only need one GOP senator to buck leadership.

He said this deal with the 4 so called hold outs is all about once they get their piece of the action(means a Check of sizable amount)they will vote for this. He came out and called it for what it is,bog and pony show, the deal was done on Thursday and the Vote will be next Thursday and the House will rubber stamp this Thursday Night or Friday Morning.

(13,386 posts)Moving Murkowski, Collins and Heller to the permanent No category is all that will stop this bill. It's up to the citizens of those states to persuade them.

(34,661 posts)Thought the same up till last night. When I caught the Interview with Harry Reids top aide confirmed it was a done deal. Known this Fellow to be a straight shooter. When the Adelson Checks hit their desks, their votes change to a hard yes.

(99,705 posts)Why would he ask Heller to walk the plank if he doesn't have to ?
Ryan did that in the House.
BTW, Ralston thinks Heller is a no. That guy has great political instincts.

geek tragedy
(68,868 posts)crisis there.
Flake is a fairly honorable guy, but he's very conservative and is a lock to vote for it. Ditto Gardner, except for the honorable part.
I would say Murkowski is more likely to vote no than Gardner or Flake, and she's 95% sure to vote yes.

(13,386 posts)Heller and Flake have tough re-elections coming in '18 and Gardner in '20. They are susceptible to pressure from their voters. Capito is a guaranteed lock to be re-elected no matter how she votes.
